Cool. I cooks steaks this way all the time. There is no way he had that iron skillet on for 30 minutes lol. I usually preheat on high for 3-4 minutes and when the steak hits the pan it's sizzle city and no grey. A minute to a minute and a half per side then it's into a 450F oven.Zank
Hey Zank, I agree about the preheating.He'd have to have the wimpiest stove in the universe for that skillet to not be so hot it'd be pinging.I'm stuck with a crappy ceramic stovetop for another couple of months and even that gets my iron red hot with medium to medium high heat.
